How we build our listings
Public business information
Listings start from public business records, and each one includes the restaurant's address, map location and contact details where available.
Checked before publishing
Before a listing goes live, we check whether the business looks closed. Places that appear to be closed are held back.
The restaurant's own details
Hours, menus and ordering links come from the restaurant's own website or published information, and owners can correct anything by claiming their listing.
Frequently asked questions
What is Local Food Reviews?
Local Food Reviews is a nationwide directory of local restaurants. It helps you find restaurants, cafés, bars and food trucks by city, cuisine, neighborhood and features, with addresses, maps, hours and menus where available. We're expanding state by state, starting with Colorado.
Where does Local Food Reviews have listings?
Local Food Reviews is a nationwide restaurant directory that is rolling out state by state, with the goal of covering all 50 states. Colorado is our first live market, with more than 16,000 restaurants, cafés, bars and food trucks from Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Fort Collins and Boulder to small mountain and plains towns. New states go live as each one's listings are built and checked.
How detailed is the Colorado launch?
Colorado is our proof of concept for every state that follows. Beyond city and cuisine pages, we map 100 neighborhoods and dining districts, such as LoDo and RiNo in Denver and the Havana Street corridor in Aurora, each with its own page of local places. We also publish in-depth Colorado food guides for the state and its largest cities.
How do I search?
Type or tap the microphone and say what you want, for example pizza delivery near me or Thai food in Denver. Use Refine to choose a cuisine, city, distance or features such as takeout, outdoor seating or vegetarian options.
Is Local Food Reviews free to use?
Yes. Searching and browsing are free for everyone, and restaurants get a free basic listing.
How do I claim or update my restaurant?
Find your restaurant and choose Claim this listing, then add photos, menus, hours and offers. If your restaurant isn't listed yet, choose Add a new restaurant.
