The Frothy Cup

The Frothy Cup is an independent coffee roaster and bakery at 1510 Miner Street in downtown Idaho Springs. The shop roasts small batches of Fair Trade Organic and Rainforest Alliance coffee on site and serves espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, frozen blended drinks and organic fruit smoothies.

The kitchen turns out giant cookies and muffins, house-baked pastries, quiche and tamales. Smothered green chili breakfast burritos, made with scrambled eggs, sausage and roasted potatoes, are a morning staple. The shop operates out of the historic Zeller building, which dates to 1885 and has housed coffee roasters for more than three decades. Beans can also be ordered online, and wholesale is available.
