Mountain Dough Baking Co

Mountain Dough Baking Co. is a woman-owned bakery at 1537 Florida Rd in Durango, Colorado, focused on wedding cakes, custom special occasion cakes and dessert catering. It began in 2019 with decorated sugar cookies baked in a home kitchen and opened as a bake shop in October 2023. Everything is made from scratch to order in a licensed commercial kitchen.

Cake flavors include vanilla bean, almond wedding, lemon poppyseed, red velvet and carrot cake, with gluten-friendly versions in almost all flavors and a range of buttercream frostings and fillings. Catering options cover cupcakes, mini cookies, brownies, lemon bars, cake cups and French macarons. Service is by appointment for consultations and pickups, with two weeks' notice required, and the bakery closes seasonally from October 2026 until January 2027.
