Post Oak Barbecue

Post Oak Barbecue is a Texas-style barbecue restaurant at 4000 Tennyson St in Denver, along the city's historic Tennyson Street. The kitchen cooks over wood-fired pits using Post Oak shipped in from Austin, Texas, and says it avoids gas-fired pits and pellets. The menu uses all-natural, certified Angus beef, natural pork and locally sourced poultry.

Owner Nick Prince started smoking meat at home after a 2008 trip to Texas and later won a people's choice brisket vote at the 2018 Arvada on Tap Barbecue Festival. The restaurant offers takeout, delivery, online ordering and catering, and it has hosted ticketed whiskey dinners and cocktail classes. A happy hour is also on the schedule.
