Description
Common Grounds Cafe is a coffee shop at 1900 E 3rd Ave in Durango, Colorado, run through a partnership between the Durango Public Library, Durango School District 9-R and local businesses. It opened in April 2014 as a vocational training program for students with disabilities, who take part in everything from ordering and customer service to inventory, marketing and cleaning.
The cafe serves baked goods and sandwiches from Bread bakery and brews coffee roasted locally by Desert Sun. It is located at the Durango Public Library, where visitors can meet the student baristas.
