Description
Montanya Distillers runs a tasting room at 204 Elk Avenue in Crested Butte, where guests can try the distillery's rums, order craft cocktails and pick up small bites. Limited-edition releases and Montanya merchandise are also sold there. The company, founded in Silverton in 2008, now makes its rum at about 9,000 feet in Crested Butte.
A separate warehouse and distillery just outside town offers facility tours and guided rum tastings by appointment only. The tasting room and distillery can also be booked for private events, and reservations are accepted.
