Description
Wood's High Mountain Distillery is a craft distillery and tasting room at 144 W 1st St in downtown Salida, set in a building roughly 100 years old. The distillery makes whiskey, gin, vodka and liqueurs, sourcing its grains and potatoes from the San Luis Valley. It still uses an antique German pot still built in the 1880s for its gins.
The tasting room offers spirit flights, single pours and a cocktail menu that includes mules, martinis, an old fashioned and several house creations. Live music is held occasionally. The menu is available on the website.
