Description
Sherpa Momo Ghar is a food truck, or food trailer, in Durango, Colorado, run by a Sherpa couple who cook recipes from the Nepali foothills of the Himalayas. The name combines "momo," the Nepali word for steamed dumpling, with "ghar," meaning home. Its dumplings are handmade and come filled with chicken, beef or a vegan mix of cabbage, kale, carrot, potato and tofu, served with a tomato and cashew dipping sauce or in a tangy, nutty soup called jhol.
The menu also includes chicken and creamy vegetable curry bowls with basmati rice and naan, samosas, lentil soup, papadum and mango lassi. Gluten-free and vegan choices are marked. The truck is parked at 3062 Main Ave, behind Union Social House, and offers dine-in at the bar's patio seating, takeaway and DoorDash delivery. Call or check the website for current status.
