Description
Kumoya is a Japanese kitchen and sushi restaurant at 2400 W 32nd Ave in Denver's LoHi area, from sushi chef Corey Baker and chef Max Mackissock. The menu pairs traditional sushi with izakaya-style dishes, and the restaurant describes its kappo-style approach as letting guests build their own meal. Cooking draws on Kaiseki traditions and the changing seasons.
Sushi options include omakase in sashimi and nigiri formats, a six-course Kaiseki-style dinner, specialty rolls and hand rolls, with a daily catch that changes often. Kitchen plates range from chawanmushi to roasted asparagus and kara'age. There is also a Japanese-inspired cocktail bar, Bar Kumo, and the restaurant hosts group dining and private events. Reservations, online ordering and catering are available.
