Description
Verboten Brewing & Barrel Project is a craft brewery at 127 E 5th St in Loveland, Colorado. The name comes from the "forbidden" ingredients, such as fruit and spice, that Germany's old beer purity law rejected. The brewery embraces those additions along with barrel aging. The taproom pours styles including a Czech dark lager, a Czech-style pilsner, an American IPA, a hazy IPA and a caramel porter.
The taproom hosts regular events, including Monday night poker and a writing night in the barrel room. Catering and online ordering are available, and the brewery takes private event requests. A second taproom operates in Fort Collins.
