Golden City Brewery

Golden City Brewery is a family-run microbrewery and beer garden at 920 12th St in Golden, Colorado, a few blocks from the Colorado School of Mines. Founded in 1993 by two geologists, it began in a machine shop behind their home, with the carriage house now serving as the tasting room and the backyard as the beer garden.

The taproom pours a range of beer styles, including a Red Ale, Clear Creek Kolsch, Evolution IPA, Lookout Stout and a Pink Guava Bomber Sour, along with seasonal and rotating taps. Wine, hard cider, hard seltzer, hard slushies and a gluten-free blonde are also on tap. Non-alcoholic choices include root beer, kombucha, sparkling water and nitro cold brew. The brewery hosts annual community fundraisers, including Goldenfest and a chili cook-off.
