Kavasutra Kava Bar Denver is a kava bar at 1232 E Colfax Ave. It is part of a group of 28 bars across Florida, Colorado, and Arizona that opened its first location in Lake Worth, Florida, in 2008. Kava is an alcohol-free drink made from a root imported from Vanuatu, served cold in a metal bowl called a shell in 4-, 8-, or 12-ounce sizes.
The menu also includes concentrated kava specialties, flavored kavalactone shots, brewed tea, cold brew coffee, soda, and Red Bull. Kava is served to guests 18 and older, and tea products to guests 21 and older with ID. Every day at 1pm and 1am the bar raises a shell together. Catering is available.
