Description
Ore House is a steakhouse at 147 E College Dr in Durango, Colorado. It first opened in 1972 in a former Chrysler dealership, and its owners modeled it on the West Coast Chart House restaurants, swapping seafood for steak. Its walls were covered in Western art, artifacts, and memorabilia.
Ryan Lowe, who started as a dishwasher in 2002, bought the restaurant in 2021. A fire on January 1, 2024 caused smoke damage to the whole building, and the restaurant's website says it will not be reopening its doors at this time. Check the website for the latest update.
