Lion’s Den Café

Lion's Den Café is a full-menu cafe inside The Wild Animal Sanctuary's Welcome Center in Keenesburg, serving both sanctuary visitors and people from the surrounding area. The kitchen offers fresh-baked pizza, a grill menu of burgers and sandwiches, nachos, tacos, tamales, pasta, soups and a salad bar. Sides include french fries, onion rings and fried pickles, and there are cookies, pie and funnel cake for dessert.

Guests choose their food and carry it out to the central picnic area or the upper decks. In winter, seating moves inside the cafe and space is limited. Takeout and online ordering are available, and the Sanctuary's separate Ice Cream Shop serves hand-dipped flavors. A VIP deck and private banquet room can be arranged for parties and events.
