The Butcher & The Baker

The Butcher & The Baker is a locally owned bakery and cafe at 201 E Colorado Ave in Telluride, run by longtime local Megan Ossola. It is counter-service, with dine-in and carry-out options and indoor and outdoor seating year-round, including outdoor heaters and a backyard bonfire pit.

The kitchen makes its own breads and pastries and cooks with locally sourced ingredients, including local organic eggs, house-roasted meats and handmade sausages. The menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, plus Sunday brunch, with items like a smoked salmon frittata, a breakfast burrito, a fried green tomato burger and a B&B burger. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available, and the full bar pours Colorado beers on tap, small-batch spirits and organic and biodynamic wines. Online ordering and delivery are offered.
