Bánh Vivant

Bánh Vivant is a family-owned Vietnamese eatery at 110 E 1st St in Salida, built around Bánh Mì, the Vietnamese sandwich served on a baguette. The menu includes slow cooked pork, lemongrass grilled pork, Num Pang with turmeric and garlic beef meatballs, braised mushroom and veggie versions, plus salads, rotating Thai and Indian curries, Vietnamese coffee, Thai iced tea and desserts. Many sandwiches can be made as salads for a gluten-free option.

Owner Jahil previously cooked for the community from his curry cart, King Kaeng's. Orders for pickup are taken by phone, and catering and larger orders are available on request. Dine-in and patio seating are limited and first come, first served. The restaurant has noted a temporary closure while it makes changes, so check its social media for updates before visiting.
