Grateful Bread Company

Grateful Bread Company is a family owned artisan bakery at 425 Violet St in Golden, Colorado. The bakers shape each loaf and bun by hand and mill organic flour on site with a custom Austrian stone mill. The bakery describes its approach as using old world methods and natural and organic ingredients, and it makes pastries as well as breads.

Jeff Cleary and Kathy Mullen started the bakery in 2005 after closing their Denver restaurant, first baking in a small cabin in Evergreen and moving to Golden in 2008. Wholesale bread is now sold through Shamrock Foods, which delivers across Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. The bakery has a retail room open to the public, and its website has a retail page with details on when it is open.
