Description
Plantain Tree is a fast-casual Jamaican restaurant and bar at 15 Emmons Loop in Crested Butte, built around the plantain. The kitchen is led by Jamaican chef Picka, and the menu features jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, smoked ribs and a coconut curry chickpea bowl, with fried ripe and unripe plantains, rice and beans, and plantain bread on the side.
Breakfast is served, with burritos, mini quiches and plantain and raisin muffins to grab and go. The full bar and reggae apres setting suit a post-ski stop, and the owners also run a food truck and offer catering and private chef services for events.
