Taquería El Nopal is a Mexican restaurant at 2902 S Glen Ave in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The kitchen makes its tortillas by hand and prepares salsa in house, with flavors drawn from the Pacific Coast near Vallarta, Mexico, from Salvadoran cooking, and from other mixed styles.
The menu includes Salvadoran-style pupusas, Mexican tortas, and tacos with a choice of meat. A seafood section features stuffed mojarra topped with octopus and shrimp, stuffed fresh oysters, and ceviche served in a cup. Ismael and Elida Argueta opened the first Taquería El Nopal in Basalt in 1994 and added the Glenwood Springs location in 2000.
