Aspen Public House

Aspen Public House is an independently owned gastropub on East Hyman Avenue in downtown Aspen, set inside the historic Wheeler Opera House building. The restaurant describes its look as a mix of Victorian, Colonial and Great Gatsby touches, and it serves dinner and late-night cocktails daily, with lunch on weekends.

Executive chef Douglas Lopez builds the menu with local farmers when possible, offering burgers, salads, sandwiches, fried chicken and other American comfort food. The bar pours local beer, craft cocktails and a wide wine list, and the central patio is part of the draw. The space is family friendly and open year round. Reservations are accepted, and a late-night kitchen keeps the evening going.
