Rusty Rhino Telluride

Rusty Rhino, also written El Rhino on its site, is a family-owned taco shop and coffee bar in Mountain Village, Telluride, open since 2013. The menu stays small: carnitas that are slow-braised overnight, tortillas pressed by hand, fresh salsas, and traditional espresso drinks made with beans roasted about two miles away.

Breakfast and lunch are both served all day, with breakfast tacos and burritos alongside carnitas plates and dumplings. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and kid options are available on request. Pick-up orders are taken by phone, and catering is offered for groups. The shop sits at 456 Mountain Village Blvd in Market Plaza, a few steps from the gondola, and is more grab-and-go than sit-down.
