Description
Casey Brewing Barrel Cellar is the Glenwood Springs home of Casey Brewing and Blending, which makes oak barrel-aged farmhouse and sour-style beers. The brewery says it works with over 99 percent Colorado ingredients, ferments in vintage oak barrels with a mixed culture of yeast and bacteria, and bottle conditions every beer. Troy Casey founded it in the fall of 2013.
Visits are built around tasting sessions: a two-hour tasting covers the sour beer process and includes three pours, and guests buy a ticket to attend. Bringing in outside food is welcome since none is served, kids are allowed, and leashed dogs can stay on the patio. The cellar is at 3421 Grand Ave.
