Description
Himalayan Kitchen is a restaurant at 992 Main Ave in downtown Durango, serving Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian cooking. Chef and owner Karma Tenzing Bhotia was born in Nepal and spent years as a mountain guide and as a chef in Austria, and he blends Himalayan flavors with European technique.
The menu includes steamed mo-mo dumplings, tandoor-roasted meats and seafood, yak dishes, biryani, daal bhat, and curries such as tikka masala, korma and vindaloo. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked on the menu, along with notes on gluten and nuts. Mixed drinks include Himalayan spiced wine and Karma's Mustang Coffee with rum. Online ordering is available.
