Colorado Custard Company

Colorado Custard Company is a frozen custard shop at 906 Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs. The shop makes vanilla and chocolate custard fresh throughout the day in its own kitchen, and serves it in cones and cups, sundaes, splits, floats, shakes and malts.

Its signature item is the Avalanche, a cup of custard blended with the toppings of your choice, from brownie chunks and cookie dough to raspberries and peanut butter. Named combinations include the Single Track and the Pikes Peak Turtle sundae. There is a kids section and a single scoop for dogs. The current owners took over the shop from its founder and describe their approach as keeping dessert affordable. The shop is seasonal, so check the website before visiting.
