Description
The Outlaw Restaurant at 610 Main St in Ouray, Colorado, describes itself as the oldest operating dining establishment in town. The building dates to 1908-1910, and the restaurant has carried the Outlaw name since 1969. John Wayne's hat, donated during the filming of True Grit, still hangs above the bar.
Lunch leans toward sandwiches, burgers and birria tacos, while dinner features prime rib in several cuts, steaks off the grill, Colorado lamb chops, Rocky Mountain trout, pasta dishes and appetizers like escargot and fried calamari.
