Kokoro Restaurant

Kokoro is a quick-and-casual Japanese restaurant at 5535 Wadsworth Bypass in Arvada. It is one location of a family-owned restaurant that began on Colorado Boulevard in Denver in 1986 and has also served the Arvada community for nearly four decades. The restaurant describes its cooking as made with heart, and says it hand-cuts its vegetables daily.

The beef bowl is the signature dish: thinly sliced USDA Choice beef cooked slowly with onions in its own juices and served over steamed rice. The kitchen also uses never-frozen Red Bird Farms chicken, and onigiri is a newer addition. Guests can order online, and the restaurant offers catering with sushi trays and bento boxes, with delivery available for a fee.
