Whiskey Star Smokehouse

Whiskey Star Smokehouse is a barbecue restaurant and whiskey bar at 231 S Main St in Breckenridge. The kitchen smokes its meats daily over post oak wood, with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage and dry-rubbed wings among the staples, plus sides like whiskey baked beans, smoked mac and cheese and collard greens. The menu also covers sandwiches, burgers, bowls, chili and salads, and a kids menu is available.

The bar pours craft cocktails, beer and a large whiskey selection, which the restaurant puts at more than 150 bourbons, scotches and whiskeys. Guests can sit indoors or on the front and back patios, and dogs are allowed on the patios. Live music plays during peak seasons, and a happy hour runs in the afternoon. Takeout, online ordering and catering are available, and the restaurant says most of its menu is gluten-free.
