Blackburn Oven

Blackburn Oven is a rooftop bakery and breakfast spot at 330 E Main St in Buena Vista, Colorado. The menu features babka with cinnamon maple butter, a popover with lemon curd, old world scones with clotted cream, an Aussie sausage roll and a breakfast burrito with green chili eggs, sausage and whiskey beans. Gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy-free options are available on some items.

Owner Janel Blackburn, a recently retired teacher, bakes everything from scratch each morning, drawing on her travels. Coffee comes in French press carafes from P-Rex Coffee Roasters, and organic loose-leaf tea is served in vintage pots, a setup meant to encourage lingering conversation.
