Description
Deerhammer Distillery & Tasting Room sits on East Main Street in Buena Vista. Founded in 2010 by Amy and Lenny Eckstein, it is an independent grain-to-glass whiskey distillery that makes one barrel a day from Colorado grains, distills in copper pot stills and ages its whiskey in a rackhouse at 8,000 feet. The tasting room serves whiskey pours and cocktails.
Deerhammer Kitchen operates alongside the tasting room and serves comfort dishes such as fish and chips and steak frites, plus a rotating selection of smaller plates. Guests can order food to go, reserve seating online, or book a guided distillery tour that ends with a tasting of five whiskies.
