The Downtown Paninos

The Downtown Paninos is an Italian restaurant at 604 N Tejon St in Colorado Springs, run by the Frasca family since 1974. It began as Pizza Plus and took the Panino's name in 1991. The menu centers on the Panino, a baked and sliced sandwich available on white, wheat or gluten-free dough, with options like the Philly steak, Cubano, Reuben and a smothered green chili version. Diners can also choose from house-made pasta such as lasagna, baked penne and chicken parmigiana, plus oven-baked pizza, salads and desserts.

The restaurant offers takeout, delivery and online ordering. A banquet hall seating up to 36 is available for parties and meetings, and carry-out catering is offered with advance notice. Happy hour and a cocktail menu are also available.
