Sonora's Prime Carniceria & Taco Shop is a family-run butcher shop and taco restaurant at 7702 Barnes Rd Ste 100 in Colorado Springs. The families behind it say they have worked in carnicerias in Sonora, Pueblo and Tucson, and this is their first combined location. The shop also stocks groceries imported from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
The menu covers tacos, burritos, birria plates, breakfast dishes such as chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, and appetizers like nachos and chicken taquitos. The kitchen says its adobos and marinades are made in-house and its meat is never frozen. Catering trays and taco bars are available with five days' notice.
