Society Sports and Spirits

Society Sports and Spirits is a sports bar at 1434 Blake St in downtown Denver, near Ball Arena. The bar centers on what it calls "The Tailgate" and serves as the official alumni bar for several teams, including the Chargers, Texans, Steelers, Iowa State Cyclones, Arkansas Razorbacks and Pittsburgh Penguins. A large TV wall and a second-level fan cave let the bar show sound for a dozen or more games at once, and guests can call or email to request audio for a specific game.

The menu leans toward game-day bar food, with green chile nachos, hickory smoked and boneless wings in a range of sauces, smash burgers and a chopped brisket sandwich. Brunch dishes are served on weekends, and reservations are accepted. Groups can plan parties and events with the bar.
