Velvet Lasso

Velvet Lasso is a queer-owned, independent cafe and lounge at 3254 Navajo St in Denver's LoHi neighborhood. By day it serves coffee, matcha, house-made pastries and sandwiches. In the evening it shifts into a lounge with cocktails and dinner.

The menu leans playful and nostalgic. Cookies, cannoli and pizzelle share space with a signature mocha latte made with raspberry almond syrup and espresso. Breakfast and deli-style sandwiches, including a chicken cutlet hoagie and a fried egg sandwich on a kaiser roll, round it out. The owners describe the space as a neighborhood third place, and the calendar includes supper clubs, markets, classes and DJ sets.
