Description
Bombay Clay Oven is an Indian restaurant on East Colfax Avenue in Denver, in business since 1993. The owner, who grew up on the West Coast of India, started the restaurant in Highlands Ranch before moving it to its current Cherry Creek-area location. The family also runs a fast-casual spinoff in downtown Denver called Saucy Bombay.
The menu draws on both North and South Indian cooking, with curries, wraps and Indo-Chinese dishes alongside chicken and vegetarian choices. The kitchen says its sauces are made from scratch, its breads are baked to order, and its meats pick up a smoky flavor from the tandoor, a clay oven. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, and this location is takeout only, with online ordering on its website.
