Angelo’s Taverna

Angelo's Taverna is an Italian restaurant at 620 E 6th Ave in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood, open since 1974. Craig Jones bought it from the founding family in 2013, keeping the house-made marinara, meatballs, sausage and pizza dough while adding an oyster bar and a fresh pasta program.

The menu runs from ravioli, bolognese and chicken or eggplant parmesan to sandwiches, sliders, salads and soups. Oysters are served raw or chargrilled with flavors like chipotle bourbon butter and bacon and gorgonzola. Angelo's pairs its food with wine and partners with its sister winery, Carboy.
