Description
Buckhorn Exchange is a steakhouse at 1000 Osage St in Denver, in what the restaurant calls the city's oldest neighborhood. It dates to 1893 and is also a National Historic Landmark and Western Museum. The restaurant describes itself as Denver's original steakhouse.
The menu leans on USDA prime beef steaks, buffalo, elk, Colorado lamb, quail, salmon and baby back pork ribs. Appetizers include Rocky Mountain oysters, fried alligator tail and smoked buffalo sausage, and a Taste of the Wild set menu serves game meats family style. Reservations are recommended, and catering and private event spaces, including a roof garden and a semi-private room, are available.
