La Loteria

La Loteria is a family-run Mexican restaurant at 42 S Broadway in Denver. It began as a food truck and now has a permanent home on South Broadway, where Chef/Owner Edgar Silvestre cooks his own specialties alongside recipes passed down from his mom. The name comes from a Mexican card game he grew up playing with his extended family.

The menu centers on Acapulco-style street tacos, including al pastor, barbacoa, birria, lengua and carnitas, plus house tacos such as crispy Baja fish and fried avocado. Other plates include enchiladas verdes or rojas, a California burrito, chilaquiles and breakfast-style dishes served until mid-afternoon. A full drink menu features margaritas, micheladas and draft beer. Happy hour runs on weekday afternoons, and online ordering is available.
