Description
Catira is a Venezuelan restaurant in Greenwood Village, at 5370 Greenwood Plaza Blvd, run by founders Manuel, who grew up in Caracas, and Clare, a Denver native. The kitchen cooks everyday Venezuelan food, from cachapas and arepas to patacones, with a menu that also includes a mini empanada flight and asado negro. The cocktail list leans tropical and rum-focused, and the restaurant says it works with Venezuelan vendors for its corn meal, cheese, rum and beer.
The dining room is styled after a Venezuelan house party, with colorful decor, retro patterns and a shared-table spirit. Reservations are accepted, and a happy hour runs on weekday afternoons.
