Tamale Kitchen makes hand-made tamales in red, spicy green chile or veggie varieties, using a family recipe that the owners say goes back to their grandparents, Jose and Aurora Lujan. The family began selling tamales door to door in 1980 and opened the first Tamale Kitchen in Lakewood in 1981. The brand now has eight locations across the Denver metro area.
