Description
Deco Dessert is a dessert shop at 300 Railroad Avenue in downtown Mancos, across from the Post Office. The Art Deco-inspired space serves handmade ice cream in cones or dishes, milkshakes, artisan chocolates, French macarons, cupcakes, and pies, plus bubble tea, imported pots of tea, and local coffee.
The owner, pastry chef Fairlight Whritner, is a Culinary Institute of America graduate with nearly two decades in the culinary world. The shop describes using fresh, local ingredients and changes its menu weekly. Custom cakes and special orders are available with advance notice, and chocolates can be shipped. Board games are on hand for guests who want to stay awhile. Online ordering is offered, and it's worth checking the website, since the shop has posted temporary closures.
