Alpen Confections

Alpen Confections is a Montrose confectionery run by Lin and Mike, who describe themselves as master chocolatiers making every piece by hand in their local workshop. The collection includes bonbons, honey truffles, pâte de fruit, almond and pistachio toffee dipped in dark chocolate, and bear paw lollipops. The shop says its flavors change throughout the year.

The makers use chocolate from Cacao Barry, Callebaut and Valrhona, along with real fruit, and say they avoid added flavorings, extracts and preservatives. Boxes come in several sizes, with Alpen curating the selection, and orders can be placed for pickup in Montrose. Catering and takeout are available, and the website also covers client gifting and events.
