Papa Bear Pizza

Papa Bear Pizza is a pizza kitchen at 243 Washington St in Monument, Colorado. The restaurant says its dough starts with imported Caputo "00" flour and a starter from a roughly 100-year-old Klondike batch, and that it makes its sauces, meatballs and braised meats from scratch. Its menu includes classic pies, a roasted garlic cheese bread, an organic house salad and a build-your-own pizza with a range of sauces and toppings.

Pizzas are hand stretched to about 14 inches. The shop does not offer delivery, but guests can eat in at its booths and tables with counter service only, or order takeout. Pre-orders are common, and calling ahead is encouraged, especially on busy weekend evenings.
