Description
The Old Oak Coffeehouse is a cozy coffee shop on 2nd Avenue in Niwot, opened in 2017 by Boulder locals Michael Tomich and Patty Machen, both former teachers. The drink menu runs from espresso, lattes and cold brew to chai, tea and smoothies, with Silver Canyon Coffee of Boulder served and alternative milks available.
The kitchen turns out house-made baked goods, panini sandwiches, quiche, grilled green chili burritos and breakfast sandwiches. Pastries from Spruce Confections and gluten-free bread from a local baker are also on hand, and beer and wine are poured too. Live music, including a summer concert series, is part of the community feel. Catering is offered.
