The Silver Spur

The Silver Spur is a locally owned bar and grill at 613 Main St in Platteville, operating alongside Doughboy Subs. The kitchen is built around homemade artisan bread, which the restaurant says it long cultures for 48 hours using ancient grains and natural wheat. That bread goes into made-to-order sandwiches, calzones, pizza, and krautburgers.

The menu also includes appetizers like garlic knots and a sausage-and-pepper roll called the Hot Little Devil, plus salads, daily soups, and a sopapilla dessert served with local honey. The restaurant sources some ingredients locally, including eggs from a Platteville farm. A cocktail menu features house drinks such as a margarita and a Moscow Mule. Dine in or order for pickup.
