Description
Oak, also known as The New Fat Alley, is a Telluride barbecue restaurant serving southern cooking, including hickory smoked brisket, Carolina pulled pork, pork ribs, and barbecue or fried chicken. The menu also covers gumbo, po' boys, salads, and a few vegetarian plates, with a full bar and Telluride Brewing Co. on tap.
Owned by longtime local Robbie O'Dell, the restaurant has operated for over twenty-five years and now sits at Camels Garden, at the base of the Gondola, with an outdoor patio. Catering is available, with New Orleans dishes like etouffee and jambalaya offered alongside the regular menu, and online ordering is available.
