Nopal by Taco Block

Nopal by Taco Block is a family-owned Mexican restaurant at 6551 W 44th Ave in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, built from the Bonilla family's Taco Block food truck, which began in 2006. The restaurant takes its name from the nopal cactus, which stars in its vegetarian taco.

The menu centers on street-style tacos, including loaded Mamalón tacos with grilled corn, pineapple and peppers, plus asada fries, chips and guacamole, jalapeño poppers and filled churros. The restaurant says it makes its corn tortillas and salsas in-house. Guests can dine in, sit on the dog-friendly patio, order takeout or delivery, and have a full bar with margaritas, cocktails and beer. Taco Block also caters events with a food truck, a staffed taco bar or a self-serve taco bar.
