Description
Cafe Berlin is a German restaurant at 323 14th Street in downtown Denver, opened in 1995 by local restaurateur Aki von Mende. Sandra Boog and Marlene Garrett took over operations in 1998. The kitchen focuses on traditional German cooking, with a dinner menu built around veal schnitzels in several styles, plus sauerbraten, rouladen, cabbage rolls and pork chops.
The menu also includes appetizers such as potato pancakes, spätzle and a bratwurst plate, a weekday lunch menu with a vegetarian mushroom cutlet, and German beers on tap alongside a wine list heavy on Rhein and Mosel whites. The restaurant notes that reservations are strongly recommended.
