Almresi Vail

Almresi is a family-run restaurant at 298 Hanson Ranch Rd in Vail, set in a traditional European ski cottage on the second floor of the Vista Bahn Building at the top of Bridge Street. The kitchen draws on Alpine and Rocky Mountain influences, with German, Austrian and Swiss dishes such as pork schnitzel, pork shank, Swiss rösti and Kaiserschmarrn.

Sharing dishes are a focus, including cheese fondue and meat fondue served on a sled, raclette, and a hat-shaped Austrian Hutessen. Winter warmers like Glühwein and Feuerzangenbowle round out the menu, along with Bavarian and Austrian beers. Breakfast is served, a take-away window on Bridge Street offers coffee, pretzels and pastries, and catering and reservations are available. The restaurant also hosts private celebrations.
