Description
Ashcroft Adventures operates at 12500 Castle Creek Road in Aspen, in the upper Castle Creek Valley near the historic Ashcroft ghost town. The business runs guided summer and winter outings, including horseback rides led through aspen groves to lunch, plus Nordic ski touring, snowshoeing and equipment rentals out of the Ashcroft Adventure Lodge.
Food comes from the Pine Creek Cookhouse, a log restaurant on the property. Its summer lunch menu leans on Rocky Mountain game and trout, with elk bratwurst, cast iron rainbow trout, a turkey burger, salads and a vegan lentil and eggplant lasagna, along with a kids menu for children under 12. Catering and reservations are available, and the cookhouse hosts weddings and private events for up to 140 seated guests.
