Description
Pearl of Siam is a Thai restaurant on East Hampden Avenue in Aurora, one location of a local brand. The restaurant says it started as the dream of two sisters who grew up watching their family cook in Bangkok, and it takes its name from a pearl found in the Gulf of Thailand.
The menu covers appetizers, soups and salads, rice and noodle dishes, and curries, including Pad Thai, Pad See-ewe, Siamese fried rice, and red or green curry. Dishes can be made mild, medium or spicy, and the kitchen says it cooks without MSG. Thai iced tea, wine and beer are on the drink list, and desserts include sweet rice with mango, Siamese custard and homemade coconut ice cream.
